So today i played hmpf twice, both constructed, i lost both games. His constructed 1v1 rating is1869, while mine is 1829.
What I don't understand, is why on the first game, the red loss number says (-8.16) and on the second game it says (-15.16).
It just doesn't make sense to me why i would be losing almost double the rating points on the second game. Can anyone explain this to me? How exactly are these ratings calculated?
2011-01-30 13:35:08 hmpf Loss (-15.16) 2011-01-30 11:34:37 hmpf Loss (-8.16)
Thanks for letting me know!

Second game must have been on a tourney, there is a factor which is higher in tourneys and so there are more points at stake then.

It was, in fact. Thanks for letting me know.
So is it safe to say that any tournament game have more or less double the rating points on the line?

I think the k value for normal games is 16 and in tournies its probably 32, i think normal tournies should have less than that and then scale it up for a qualifiers +
So since you guys are pretty much equal in constructed rating, you pretty much had an even split in points you were fighting for. 8/8 16/16
