the first one would be reeally interesting if there existed some kind of terrain bonus for units

and concerning snowtrouble: its not really symmetrical, i would like it but i think it should be symmetrical. The positions of the spawn places and the tree in the middle right on the hills is missing at the bottom left

all in all nice maps

I have already redone snowtrouble, i will probably load up the new version later on today.
To desert valley:
i wanted to make a map where unit blocking can really change the game a lot, so pumping tanks with +armor will be more important :)

the 1v1's have potential, just need to make those roads that are 1 hex wide 2 hexes wide.
