I'm GreaseSpot, better known as Bubbles' dad. Quite a nice little title you folks have here.
[back_in_my_day!] When I was a teenager, several centuries ago, I remember playing turn based sims with a paper map and cardboard hex pieces representing the units. My favorite was "Red Star/White Star" which detailed sims of conflict in Europe between NATO and Warsaw Pact forces (back when the Russians were the bad guys). I distinctly remember that the first time my brother, friend, and I played it we spent several hours just deciphering the INSTRUCTIONS. Those were the days, etc. [/back_in_my_day!]
I'll have to get my brother to see this. Maybe I'll get to kick HIS butt for a nice change. Otherwise, I will again be...

Good times. In a far simpler age.

I've been into PC games since "the beginning" in 1980 with the first text-based adventure games like Zork (you young whippersnappers can Wiki that). Naturally, I passed that love for games onto Bubbles. Heck, I've even played Pokemon games with him (card and Nintendo)

My first serious PC gaming experience was 1986, Ultima IV. bootleg copy, no docs. Had to figure EVERYTHING out trial-and-error. every letter a different command...8 possible ingredients for each of 26 spells.....

no, my son, I don't. I prefer to actually TALK to my teammates. That's why I have an in-house server. With TeamSpeak. It is YOU who are too [insert insult here] to bother with a headset.
So THERE! Nyah!
