my old CDs got mangled, and I recently got a new copy. Anyone else here play, maybe we can get together, either on Bnet or someone can host....

I think dagnor plays this or at least used to.
Believe it or not, I have only played the first Diablo. I really liked it too, but there were all kinds of cheats and hacks in the original multiplayer. Did they resolve all of those issues in Diablo II? Surely I can get a copy of this game for practically nothing these days given that it's 10 years old.

Only way I ever see it is as "Diablo 2 Battle Chest"..has Diablo 2, the Lord of Destruction expansion, and the official Strategy Guide in one box, 39.95.
It's great..I've never played the ORIGINAL Diablo, ironically.

I'm with ice9 here, only played the original Diablo. I know, blasphemy.
I saw that Gold Box deal and almost bought it, but I'm up to my eyeballs in games as it is (Assassin's Creed 2, Modern Warfare 2, Mass Effect 2, Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes on DS, and of course Battle Dex). I've always wanted to check it out though!

I think I'm too young to have ever played the original game. I played Diablo 2 for a while, but i quit years ago. Took up WoW for a while, and I think i missed the sorceress's tele through walls more than anything

Best. Game. Ever. that is all.
Actually, that's not all. I played D II for TEN YEARS before finally putting it down. Started with the original Diablo "back in the day" and kept it going for D II. Like everyone else, lots of boohoos at no Diablo III. (I still don't believe it will ever come out. Trailers or not trailers. A fancy website with lots of content does NOT an actual game make.)
