As I been playing longer and longer, and playing more matches I learned by doing it and failing. Mercs can thro out an early game advantage, but! Yes They are only there for 5 turns. Which sucks! lol easy way to take do with mercs is place two out one turn then 2 a turn after. Especially 1v1. Imma test thsi theory ut with different mercs. Ill let you know the results.

It still the Instant force of mercs in begining of the game that caps resources. If you wait to late into the game they are worthless cause the opposing player should already have a stable line out there.

Y'all are getting too into the mercs. They arent the trump card of starting the game. For example, i tried this strategy against Xlom and got SLAUGHTERED. Don't focus on one strategy. Try and think of a ton of different ones (that noone would expect)

I did the merc strat on xlom and almost won lol! I lost cause his dang aa units. I made the mistake of Planes and choppers. My fault the only reason why I lost the mercs grab my victory but I lost it due to a repeatative move. If you do mercs right you will most likely have the upper hand.

Mercs are cheap and perhaps last too long.
% turns mid game will be the game.

hm.. perhaps mercs should last 4 turns instead of 5?

I think they should have same stats if not improved..
