At first glance, it seems that the heavy tank is a better choice, with heavier armour allowing it to stay on the battlefield for a long time, dealing more damage. However, there are some players who like using groups of light tanks. In my opinion, that would not help as the enemy will always target the weakest unit; there will be no distribution of damage. What is your opinion? Is the light tank or the heavy tank better?

don't forget there is a poll option that you can use! I personally like them both. It all depends on the situation man. Light tanks are good especially for putting finishing touches on capturing stuff, or, like you said, in packs. Heavies are phenominal (IF YOUR ENEMY DOESNT HAVE A HELI) for offence strategies. Especially when pushing forward to the base. All in all, learn what is best for both so you can use them both a lot

The extra 1 movement for the light tank can be huge. If you need to get someone into the battle quicker, light is much better. Also, light is cheaper and sometimes you have cash for a light but not cash for a heavy. Heavy's biggest advantage, IMHO, is that it is more likely to get veteran status because it has so many hitpoints.

when my enemy wants to cap a resource with a recon and an infantry i just send there a light tank to hit em up. but heavy tanks can be an immense pressure to your opponent (as long as he doesnt have air units).

yeah, Light Tanks are great to "ship up and role out" basically. Heavies, if you can afford them without wasting anything and your enemy doesnt have 2 arties or a heli thatd attack it, put great damage out for FOREVER. If your opponent doesnt have an arty or heli in range you almost FORCE them to buy/move one

I just tried a pimp my heavy tank tactic. It worked well (on a small map and my opponent didnt had a proper counter card like blind on so). I took a marksmantank and these cards to pimp him - 50% firepower - 50% speed - 40% armor for 2 turns - 10 hp 10 round overhaul - 80 hp healing - credits for one kill
dicount fighter, discount aa and a 2 unit airlift to back him up
on the one hand it seemed overpowered or unbalanced but one the other hand my opponent could have countered my strategy me with 1 or 2 debuff cards. I think it gets more and more important to put *counter cards" in your deck. Some strategies like base rush or recon rush are very effective if you are not prepared.
