What is, in general, you preferred 1v1 deployment?
Pincer Movement: try to take both left and right flanks first, then proceed to the middle. 25%  25%  [ 5 ]
Spearhead: try to take the middle first, then go for the flanks. 0%  0%  [ 0 ]
Line of Battle: try to take everything advancing in a single front. 5%  5%  [ 1 ]
Sideways: try to take left (or right) flank first, then the middle, then the right (or left) flank. 5%  5%  [ 1 ]
Quadrant: try to take the middle and left (or right) flank first, then the right (or left) flank. 15%  15%  [ 3 ]
No general strategy; depends on the map. 40%  40%  [ 8 ]
No general strategy; depends on the opponent. 10%  10%  [ 2 ]
No general strategy; depends on gut feelings. 0%  0%  [ 0 ]

I´ve been watching quite a few replays, and there´s something that caught my eye. Assuming that HQs are at the top and bottom of the map, and that the flanks are the left and right sides, in a 1v1 most Top Dogs either:

-Try a Spearhead (take the middle of the map ignoring the flanks at first, and then after the middle is secure go for the flanks), or

-Try a Pincer Movement (take the left and right flanks of the map ignoring the middle at first, then focus on the middle).

From the games I´ve watched (a tiny fraction, of course), seems that:

-Advancing one single front (Line of Battle),
-Focusing only on one flank (for example, only the right flank), or
-Focusing on one flank and the middle

are not usually on the menu.

So, without revealing too much... which tactic and why?

EDIT: replaced "sides" by "flanks", which is a better military term.

i voted for the mid and right or left opinio, tho i dont do that always, but on most maps.
u simply can then take the outer side also with ur troops from the mid and then have a big block of troops who can easily move inbetween each other.
if u take mid first, u have ressource disadvantage for mostly 3-4 rounds, whioch can mean up to 200 from two ressources.
if u take flanks first, u gonna have to have a suprise for middle, or u will have to focus much there, leaving ur sides vulnerable.
mostly in highranked matches i try to cap one side and then advance to the opponent while trying to cap any "capture points on the run".

wow now everybody will counter me xD
