I have a Wacom Intuos 3 12"x9" pen tablet that I would love to use next year for visual notes in school. And for random drawing at home. I can't find my pen and new ones are apparently REALLY expensive. Is there anything else that will work for a pen?

If one would clean one's room, said one might be quite surprised at the things one might find lurking under the detritus scattered about one's room (especially under one's bed...). Then one wouldn't need suggestions or expensive replacements and wouldn't have to be embarrassed by one's father (who admittedly takes great delight in this with lots of "ToldYaSo!s"

You'll quickly discover digital tools to take notes for class aren't the best for learning.
Use a nice pen (uniball vision micro is the only pen I use). You will start liking what you write. Trust me, nothing beats a notebook + a good pen.
