and, if explainable, why? for myself: Avenged Sevenfold I'm not a huge metal fan though i do like it a lot. They just kinda.. made their own entire GENRE of music that i really like. As a whole, the music just seems... fuller. Like there's more there. If this makes sense, it's like almost all the bands ive heard are a primary color, but they're a secondary. They just have somethin that goes with it that I love. Plus Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan was/remains to be my favorite drummer of all time The Fight (from the most recent album 'Diamond in the Rough'). This has some of my favorite lyrics in the bridge http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YcKDxlAz3Q

My fav band should be Metallica. They were playing at Rock Am Ring 2008 and my father said "you gotta watch them" but I just watched the first few minutes of their intro and "Creeping Death" but it was kinda too heavy for me (I listened to System of a Down at that time). But half a year later I was the biggest fan on earth and the performances have been kick ass so I was pissed off that I didn't watch the entire gig. I know that some people will think they're boring or just think the vocalist has a terrible voice but if you listen closely you will know why I like them Edit: this is the song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFemuDsSdr4

I have not heard this one. Only thing good there was the start and they stole that from Ennio Moriccone

My favorite band overall is probably Tool. My musical favorites depend on whether you want to discuss who has the best albums, the best concerts, or who has the best overall catalogue. Here's some lists, they vary slightly year to year.
My 10 favorite albums:
* Tool - Aenima * Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots * Outkast - Aquemini * Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon * Arcade Fire - Funeral * At the Drive-In - Relationship of Command * Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream * Rage Against the Machine - Self Titled * Porcupine Tree - In Absentia * Portishead - Dummy
My 10 favorite live concert bands:
* Rage Against the Machine * MUSE * Kanye West (yeah I said it, his show was awesome) * Nine Inch Nails * Rodrigo y Gabriela * Arcade Fire * David Byrne * Gogol Bordello * Sigur Ros/Jonsi * Method Man
Best overall groups/catalogues:
* Tool * Porcupine Tree * Radiohead * Pink Floyd * Outkast * Queen * David Bowie * A Tribe Called Quest * Gang Starr * Flaming Lips

the song is from the album "Ride the Lightning" but beware there the singing voice is very ...different xD because the singer was like ~20 years old (on that gig he was around 45) and yes the intro is stolen from "The good, the bad and (i think) the ugly" dunno the title ^^ its their opening anthem

cool And we'll see about the voice. M Shadows (Avenged Sevenfold's singer) has a very odd voice, but i LOVE it. *shrug*
