If you plan on having an event like you invite 50 people from your blog or so, you can pm the devs so they will make a private tournament. if you just want to have one amongst ur friends -> no.

Thank you for your help. I run a website ( www.xboxnatter.com) and I shall see what my users think about playing. It would certainly be a hit-or-miss thing as as they are from all over the world it may be slightly difficult to organise something. If I were to take this further, and I were to PM one of the organisers, I wouldnt want to waste their time by asking for say 20 people or less. So what would the absolute minimum be for me to host a private tournament? Thanks again.

I am not one of the devs but i remember they put up a tournament for about ~30-40 people a while ago, from which about 20 showed up. I guess this is about the number talking. You should contact any of the devs but first pierretapia, chrism or ice9 I guess.

also you can just do a bunch of private games and everyone tell you who the winner is and you do it manually. But the devs setting up a tournament would be much simpler

I dont think you would get any rewards in private tournaments.
But it would be good idea to have possibility of creating your own tournament, even if without prizes.

it would be very cool to be able to create a private tournament. And also for the creator to set prizes for it (like trading, he loses it when someone else gets it). Then the devs, if they wanted, could give the creator whatever cards he lost
