Right now there is a 3 bucket matching system. We will add more buckets when we get more players. See a patch notes post that explains the bucket system.

Allowing you to check a box to only play against your own bucket (not higher or lower) may be a good thing. Snap, your problem is you are in middle bucket. If only top bucket are searching, you will get them. If you could check, only play my bucket, or only play my bucket or lower, it would mean you would get less games (or have to wait longer) but you might be happier.
