I was thinking about some ideas that can be used for ACTUAL achievements. Not just 'Kill X amount of Y'
Like
"Round Tripper - IAR: Kill one of every Unit'
"Money Maker - IAR: Capture every resource on a map"
"My Uncle Victor - IAR: Capture every Victory Point"
"A Matter of Time - Win 10 rounds by Victory Points"
"Coordinates Received - IAR: Kill a unit with artillery behind an elevated hex."
"Poker Face - Win a round without using a card."
"All In - Win a round using every card in your deck."
"Eliminator - Wipe out all enemy units during a turn."
"Reclaimer - Reclaim 50 resources"
"Speed Gamer - Win a game within 15 turns"
"You Wanna Piece Of Me? - In an FFA, land the killing blow on both opponents.
"Robot Uprising - Win a round with Infantry never registering a kill (They can cap, no killing)"
Come up with your own. The more original, the better.

Special medal, achievement, and name color for being #1 in a category. Rainbow color if #1 across multiple categories.

excellent idea (and clever names) Stumble. However, if you are going to be that clever with the names, the Round Tripper needs to be something more like "Kill For The Cycle". Since you seem to be using baseball terminology, a round tripper is a home run. Hitting for the cycle is to hit a single, double, triple, and home run in one game (though not necessarily in that order). That's much closer to your defined achievement.
Since we ARE using baseball terminology here, how about:
Home Run - using air/recon/airlift in a mad dash to the opponent's base which is quickly destroyed before serious defense can be mounted.
