This is a great game but i see one problem in the fact that such a large percentage of the community is made of the top level players, who will beat some 99% of the time a new player in a constructed tournament or some 90% in a sealed one, giving very little chance for new players to win tournaments and earn prices.
Now, i understand that a tournament is competitive event by nature and the best should win, but in the interes of the experience provided by the game to new players i suggest newbie tournaments, where participation would be limited by rating and/or number of games played.
I would like to see this tournaments to have good prices (packs for first and second place, valuable cards for others) but in exchange to be very rare (maybe one every two weeks or once a month depending on the value of the prices).
This would hardly be a lose for the top players since they already can participate (and win) in many more tournaments and it might make the game a little more newbie friendly.
Any thoughts?

yes, but there was never any experience or ranking limitation. So anyone could have joined.

This is a good idea. We are going to have new player tournaments with a ranking limitation shortly. Unfortunately, we can't stop "Smurf" accounts. We can only ask the good players not to do this.
