are you freaking kidding me?! It's huge! 50 turn suggestion for silver? (40 for gold) I'm begging you to make this smaller/shorter. It will be a pain to complete this, and my only obligation is so i can get the reward and move on. It certainly won't be fun

It does not take very long because your turns are short. I just played it as a test and beat it in 9 minutes. Plus, it pretty fun (I think). I'm sure you can handle it.

Sry I just opened another thread about this mission under the issue-section, before I found this one here.
I don't like this mission too. It's too long and without airlift very difficult to play.
I played it three times and couldn't finish it because my inf always died after 40 turns or so. And I don't feel any motivation to play it a fourth time. You should make it as a mission after you already received airlift or remove it completely from the game.

I used: 2 Minor Repairs Normal Repair 2 Firepowers Minor Arty Airlift 2 Airlift 3 Armor 20% permanent Enlist AA ENlist heavy Major Repair Get your inf off your starting hexes, fly up with the fighter but DONT RISK HIM DIEING! u have to figure out a part so that u end up up north with the heavies in first line, AA hero and the normal AA with armor and firepower somewhere on the right and the artyhero in the back. first shoot arty hero and heavy hero, ur AAs for fighters of course. then just submit till base is destroyed -> success in gold
