...... of doom


Hello, just wanted to introduce meself as i just watched this long *** 1 hour video of battledex on youtube and schlumps commentaries and i have to say i'm very impressed with wut i see. So i decided to at least get an account. I play battalion arena on kongregate, and this game looks like that multiplied with awesomeness and cards. (subtracted by having to purchase cards but that can be overlooked). When i get a decent comp. i will definetly b rampaging on this game as soon as i un-newbify.

I am 15, sophmore, and already a member (the only member) of my schools game programming club. Prograaming pong at the moment using Visual Basic 6(very old program. The club is so small we dont even have a budget, just wut the teacher digs up and installs) Not very good yet... but i just started... so its ok.

2 questions though:
How do i view replays?
I keep getting error screens when i try to view them (im at a library as i type this)

Why are there so few youtube videos for so many replays?
Personally, schlumps replays were good. I would like to see more of that. (Though sometimes i couldnt understand his accent, im not expecting himt o be a proffesional caster). If a pro caster could get their hands on theses replays, that would be AMAZING. Anyways, peace. GLHF


P.S. check out battalion arena. So many similarities but in a non-download flash game.... so not as good but still good. ^_^

to watch replays, go to Home >> Replays and click on the Play button. It launches the client and you watch in-game

If you are at the library, replays might not work because the client needs to write to the registry to so that the battledex: protocol works. Some guy couldn't get it working at his school because of this.

An alternative would be to use the command line method as described in this thread:

More video commentaries will be coming. There are obviously a lot of replays because you can instantly publish them with a click, whereas it takes a lot of time to do what Schlumpfi did with the editing and audio commentary. I plan on trying to make one.

i dont know where to pull up that registry page thing. I really wanna watch sum replays so i can git betr cuz im down 2:8 right now. =_=
