So everyone's been crying that sealed games are all about luck, but i must argue against this. Despite many great games between people noone wouldve thought (woot Stumble), in ALL THREE sealed 500$ tourneys, solid made it to the finals. Is this by chance? I don't think so. Solid, care to share some tips?

Playing sealed absolutely requires understanding of fundamental game aspects. It's important to not overspend or overbuild your army.
A good draw helps, but only if you know how to build a deck with what you have.

I think Stumblebee put it beautifully. In fact, they're so close to what I want to say I feel he ripped the words right out of my mouth. To answer the question directly, EVERYTHING in this game is about skill. The skill curve, however, it a diminishing returns graph. The higher your skill level, and the higher your opponent's skill level, the MORE your cards will matter. This is illustrated perfectly by the sealed deck finals last week, Justice against I. While his skill level is debatable, it was CLOSE ENOUGH that he was able to use his cards to crush me. Whereas, although my deck was terrible, I out-skilled everyone else with superior decks to make it to the finals. See this post: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=582&p=2702#p2702

Sealed is 98% skill -- see Solid's last 3 cash tournaments.

The 1st tournament I cashed was constructed, so technically I've only been to 2 special sealed deck finals But I did win my first sealed deck tournament after playing for 3 hours! I'm sure Cooldown remembers,

agreed. sealed is most about skill i also won a sealed deck tourney with cards i never would use. a good deck in general uses about 6 to 8 cards in the first turn. think about that a little while picking cards.

Hmm i think a good deck uses about 4-6 cards like the enlists and speed buffs but u also have to keep some cards since they can change the outcome of a battle And i also agree that sealed is most about skill You also get to use some cards you never would use in a constructed deck
